Edwin Holllngsworth (44), a returned soldier, was kllled last night. when :1 Mills bomb, 3 war souvenir, exploded at. his home at. nendwick. His daughter Wllla (12) And Ernest Dickson (19) were sent to hospltal suflering from shooklng anurles. The accident apparently occurred when lloliingS\\‘oi'Lh was showing his daughter and a friend a collection of war relics. It is thought the explosion was caused through the accidentul removal of the safety pin from the bomb, The explosion shattered the room_ in which the trio were sitting. lloliingsworth was evidently holding the bomb in his hand when it exploded, and to some extent. it is believed, his body shielded the others.
