MR F. LYE HONOURED. i i i MORRINSVLLLE SUPPORTERS. l (Special to Times). MORRINSVILLE, Friday. A presentation of a gold watch was made last evening to Mr F‘. Lye, of Cambridge, who represented VVrtikato in Parliament from 1928 to 1935, at a gathering of .\[orrlnsville friends and supporters, at which Mr \V‘ McPherson presided. Among those present by invitation were members of the .\iorrins—ville Borough Council. Mr McPherson said the gathering had been called as a mark of appreciation of .\lr Lye's services to the Morrinsvllie district. \\'llenever Mr Lye was wanted in any part or his electorate he had al\\'ays paid Visits and had attended to all correspondence most promptly. The Mayor, Mr \V. T. Osborne. said all would agree .\lr Lye had served the people of the electorate well. whatever their politiczu views. He asked .Mr Lye to accept. a gold watch inscribed: “.F Lye, Esq.. from Morrins—villa friends" in appreciation of his services to the .\lorrinsville district. .\lr Lye in responding, Said his work for the electors had been a joy. It was pleasing to know that in the hour of political set-back, his many friends appreciated his services. #
