The clause in the Shops and Ut‘flccs Amendment Bill which sought to bring the oflices of solicitors. mining com—‘panjes and miners‘ unions under the ‘provisions of the Act is to be deleted by. the Government. according to amendment-s contained in a supplementary order paper which was circulated in the House of Representatives to-day. However. a new clause is to be included bringing workers in thew? ofilces under the provisions of the Bill with regard to minimum wage rates. These three classes of omces are also to be brought under the provisions of the Bill dealing with the keeping of wages and time books.
