ANNUAL TENNIS DANCE.
FUNCTION AT OKOROIRE. ”The 'Okoroire Hall Tennis Club held their annual dance in the Okorotre Hall on Monday evening. ”There was a fair attendance. including \‘iSltOl‘S from the surrounding districts. Durlng the evening- lhe tennis tro—phies were presented to the successful rompetitors. in the absence of the president, Mr I}. Carrutl'i, Mr Rothert llayes made the presentations. Following are the winnersz—Men‘s singles championship, Mr R. anb: ladirs' singles championship, Miss M. (larrutli; combined doubles. Mrs. B Bellamy and Mr N. Lluhh; ladics‘ doubles, Miss D, Peterson and Miss I’. Ross; men‘s doubles. Mr J. Andrew—sen and Mr N. Uuhh. After supper opportunity was taken (0 bid farewell to Messrs 5., A. and G. Stephens, who are shortly leaving the district. Mr Hayes presented each with a, leather wallet its a token of esteem from the members ot‘ the tennis club. ”Mr 5. Stephens suitably responded on behalf of his brothers and himself. Castleton's Orchestra, from Rotorua, played excellent music, and Miss K. Gallery played an extra.
