Speaking at, the \Vellingion interDrovinrial conference of the New Zealnnd Farmers‘ Union at Feildlns this morning Mr \V. .1, Poison replied to the liight lion. .\l. J. Savage‘s I‘emarks at, Hamilton yesterday in con—nection with the rationalisation of the meat and wool. lie said: "Mr Savage has done me the honour of saying I am talking llllilllillK. I say he is a better judge of humhugr than I am. However. I have his \\'Ol'Ll for it that meat and \\'ool will be included in the guaranteed prices scheme as soon as possible. “Further. the Hon F. Langstone has definitely stated that rationalisation of all primary industries will be (lone as soon as possible. The Government. knew the farmers were opposed to guaranteed prices.“ The speaker emphasised the need tor farmers to unite to prevent the rationalisation of dairy produce. The conference carried a remit. urging the Government to take the farmers into its confidence in connection with guaranteed prices, and that the producer should be allowed to sell his produce on the open market. himself if able to do so.
