Rumours of impending additions and alterations in the personnel of the Labour Cabinet were emphatically delined by the Prime Minister. the Right rllon. .\ll .1. Savage, though he admitted |lhat an increase in the number or Illinislers is inevitable in view of the ‘sirnin now being placed upon the [shoulders or those holding Cabinet irank. Referring especially to a report that [the lion. P. Fraser is to replace the llion. \V. Nash as Minister of Finance. .\lr Savage said there was absolutely lno foundation for the rumour. Mr -l\'ash would remain Minister of Finlance as long as the Government held omce. He had the goodwill and conndence or the people all over the Domivion, and the value or his services was fully recognised by his colleagues. Further appointments to the Cabinet may be considered in due course. ideclared .\ir Savage, and they will he imade on merit alone. Guessing or ‘pi‘essul‘e would not influence the de‘cision.
