GOLF. DANCE. To wind up the day after the match with Te Kowhal on Saturday the Gordonton Golf Club held a dance in the hall. Bennett's Orchestra supplied excel« lent music for the large number 0! dancers. Euchre was played in the supper—room, the winners being Mrs W. O‘Hearn and Mr J. Dalbeth. Novelty dances were won by Miss Banstead and Mr A. Taylor. Supper was served and dancing was continued. Mr G. Thrupp was .\I.C. CONCERT AND DANCE. In aid of the Crippled Children‘s Fund the Drama Circle organised a concert on Wednesday evening. Songs were given by Misses J. Peach, M. McLeod, and Mr J. Battersby, and elocution by Mrs Booker and Master Bruce Booker. The Drama Circle presented a humorous sketch, “Mrs Sharp Marries Again," the cast being: Mesdames Frear, Béll, Booker, and Miss Mcllullin, and Messrs Hill and Feisst. Another comedy, “Peace and Comfort," was staged by the Puketaha Players—Misses N. Speedy, J. Letfoot, and Messrs J. and K. Feisst, F. Sudd, and Rickard. Dancing was enjoyed at the Conclusion of the concert, .\lr J. Batiersby presiding at the piano.
