REMARKABLE DEVELOPMENT. RHODES SCHOLAR AMISS. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. (Received May 22, 11 a.m.) LONDON. May 21. A remarkable development, unusual in the Derby, is the relegation of Lord Astor’s Rhodes Scholar to the role of outsider.
The horse is reported to have Jarred himself.
Other extraordinary features in the Derby are the plurality of representation of some of the most famoue owners, also the fact that two trainer* employed by different owners are responsible for nine of the twenty-elgh f runners.
