OBITUARY.

MR D. CUTHBERT. AUCKLAND FRIDAY. The death has occurred of Mr David Cuthbert, of Onehunga, a pioneer of the Pacific Cable. Mr Cuthbert was born at Coatbridge, Scotland, in the late ’fifties and commenced his career in the postal telegraph service at Greenock, subsequently serving with the United States Cable Company, first in London and afterwards .It the cable terminal station at Ballinskelligs, Ireland.
