ALLEGED INTERFERENOE. CHARGE AGAINST EMPLOYER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) \\’ANGAXUI, \Vednesday. The Supreme Court to-day is engaged hearing a case against Henry William Hurley, a butcher, of Waltotara, for allegedly attempting to interfere with a witness in his employ in a case where a young man, another employee. was charged with indecent assault. The evidence showed that accused endeavoured to persuade witness to say that he was not sure of a slate— Incnthc had made to Detective Pack—man. The defence was a complete denial of the allegation, and that the conversations he had with the cmployce related 1.0 the signing of the \\'ages bunk, The jury returned :1 verdict of not guilty and accused was discharged.
