Yaliop, of Auckland. has been appointed house manager of the Waiksto Hospital by the \Vaik‘ato Hospital Board in succession to the late Mr \V. H. Wesl. Mr Yallop. who is 112 years of age. saw active service in the Great War and was house manager 0! the Rotorua Hospital for some years. He is at present district Storekeeper for the Heatlh Department in Auckland. There were 112 applications for the position of a clerk in the board‘s omcc, the appointment of Mr E. L. Brockenshire, of New Plymouth. being made.
