_‘._‘_____ FIVE HUNDRED TOURNAMENT. The Returned Soldiers held their fortnightly card evening on Saturday. H was; a, great. success financially and the large attendance showed how popular these evenings are proving. The ladies’ prize. was won by Miss A. Whihvorth and the ,men's by Mr Livingstone. A delicious supper ended a mass. enjoyable evening.
GOLF BALL.
The Golf Ball held on Thursday was a great success. The hall was beautifully decorated with greenery and coloured streamers. Over £23 was taken at the door. Mr G. Fromm was Ml}.
PERSONAL.
Mrs Gillingham has returned to Auckland. )Irs Jack Moroney and her children are visiting Mrs Moroney's people in Sydney. Miss Bundle. of Hamilton, who has been the guest of Mrs Adams, has res turned home‘ ' Mrs Faucett. of Puru, Thames Coast, is the guest of her daughter. Mrs Cliff Mapp.
