SHIPMENTS TO BRITAIN. MbflE FROM NEW ZEALAND. WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Shipments of butter from New Zealand in April totalled 12,097 tons, an Increase of 3279 tons in April, 1935. For the period from August 1, 1935, to April 30, shipments were 7284 tons greater at 111,642 tons. April shipments from Australia and New Zealand to the United Kingdom were 17,188 tons, compared with 17,956 tons in April, 1935. During April, 9 per cent of the butter exported was sold t.0.b., against 13 per cent in April, 1935. The estimated stocks of all butters In London at May 1, together with export stocks in New Zealand and afloat, totalled 43,390 tons, against 33,412 tons a year ago. The Cheese Exports. Exports of cheese in April at 848 S tons were 1727 tons greater than In April, 1935, while for the period August 1, 1935, to April 30, they were 65,063 tons, a decline of 6408 tons. Of the April total 65 per cent was white and 35 per cent coloured, the figures for April, 1935, being 69 per cent and 31 per cent respectively. Estimated stocks of all cheese In England, together with export stocks in New Zealand and afloat, totalled 44,779 tons at May 1, compared with 49,398 tons a year ago.
