KILLED BY ALSATIAN.

SHEEP AT TE RAPA. RAID ON A PADDOCK. A determined effort is "being made to capture an Alsatian dog which was seen to be worrying sheep in the stock accommodation paddock at Te Rapa yesterday. The dog killed six sheep and worried many others, and although immediate steps were taken in an endeavour to shoot it, the Alsatian evaded capture, making good its escape before stockmen discovered its depredations. Other cases of sheep worrying have been reported throughout the district, but losses have not been as heavy as they were last year.
