AN ILLEGAL PRACTICE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. Reubene Shirley, who was found guilty on two 'Charges of illegal use of an instrument, was sentenced to eighteen months at the Supreme Court this morning. “I would be failing in my duty if I did not order a term of imprisonment,” said His Honour, Mr Justice Northcroft.
