Hooker, of Hawera, has been re-elected president of the Federated Mountain Clubs of New Zealand. The Rev. W. R. Milne, of Newtown, Wellington, lias accepted a call to St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church, Ponsonby, Auckland. Mr C. A. Barrell, M.P. for Hamilton, who was in Hamilton during the weekend, and Mr R. Coulter, M.P. for Waikato, returned to Wellington last evening. Mr G. C. Warren has been reelected for his third consecutive term as president of the North Canterbury district of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union. Messrs 11. Gilbert; 11. Caselberg, D. McKenzie (Wellington) ; i:. Robinson, 11. Maples. A. Howey-Walker, G. Laing (Auckland); M. Sheehan (Haetilii); W. Blackwell (Christchurch); anc! A. Smith (Gore), arc at the Hamilton Hotel. Mr T. A. Hunter, of Wellington, a former director of dental hygiene, and Mr V. J. Anderson-Brown, of Auckland. will represent I lie New Zealand Dental Association at the annual meeting of the British Dental Association in London, and the International Dental Congress in Vienna. Mr 11. Gladstone Hill, musical director of Derry’s Military Band, Christchurch and formerly of Hamilton, left for Sydney by the Monowai last week. Mr Hill has been invited by the Australian Broadcasting Commission to conduct the National Military Band as guest-conductor from station 2BL on Wednesday. May 27.
