OVERSEAS AIR MAILS. OVER 4000 LETTERS WEEKLY. Constant growth has been shown in the air-mail business of the New Zealand Post Office on the AustraliaJEngland and other routes associated with Imperial Airways. The service commenced in November, 1934, and during the first year the average number of o-ulward letters was 2500 weekly. To-day the weekly outward despatch exceeds 4000 letters, and tliis volume is being maintained at a point in excess of the special business always to be expected prior (o Christmas, when the monthly total roso to just under 14,000 letters.
