Claims based on the 40-hour week are to be submitted shortly to the Transport Board by t.ho Auckland Tramway Employees' I'uion. the pre sent agreement having expired, but continues to operate until it is superseded. It Is also proposed to affiliate will) the National t'nlon of Trnmwaymen. The Transport Board's traffic staff at present works a 18-hour week and the permanent and depot staffs *7 hours. __________
