SHIPMENTS OF MEAT.
TO THE UNITED KINGDOM. (Special to Times.) WELLINGTON, Saturday. The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board is advised by cable from its London office that the shipments from Australia, South America, and South Africa to the United Kingdom during April were as follows: — Australia: Carcases mutton, 43,253; carcases lamb, 232,503; quarters beer, frozen 45,535, chilled 27,700. South America: Carcases mutton, 96,408; carcases lamb, 549,045; quarters beef, frozen 730, chilled 571,947 Included in the South American figures are 391,951 carcases of lamb and 87,181 carcases of mutton shipped from Patagonia. South Africa (including Southern Rhodesia) : Quarters beef, chilled, 2335. The shipments from New Zealand to the United Kingdom for the same per • iod were as follows: New Zealand: Carcases mutton, 251,901; carcases lamb, 864,866; quarters beef, frozen 15.495, chilled 17,756.
