MORRINSVILLE PROPOBAL. COMMITTEE TO REPORT. MORRINSVILLE. Friday. The proposal to hold a holiday circuit of professional sports meetings in the Thames Valley was advanced a further stage at last evening’s meeting of the Morrlnsville Borough Council, when the Mayor (Mr W. T. Os- v borne), moved that the reserves com- # mlttee go into the question of Improvements at the recreation ground. The Mayor explained that he hoped to see a banked cycling track constructed In time for a sports meeting during the Christmas holidays. He had been much Impressed with the success of the Otorohanga sports at Easter and was confident (hat a sports meeting at Morrlnsville would be a financial success and would result lB the sports club being able to expend profits on the ground as had been done at Otorohanga. Several councillors endorsed the Mayor's remarks.
