VISCOUNT ALLENBY’S PLEA. OUTLOOK OF THE NATIONS (Official Wireless.) RUGBY, May li. Tiie late Viscount Alienby was in gobd health right up to the time of his death. Only a fortnight ago he was installed as Lord Rector ol Edinburgh University. In his rectorial address on that occasion Viscount Alienby made a notable plea for the organisation of peace and the substitution of a generous international spirit f 4 or narrow nationalism in the outlook of the nations.

TRIBUTE TO LEADERSHIP. CANBERRA, May 15. Tiie Prime Minister, Mr J. A. Lyons, has sent a message of condolence to the relatives of the late Viscount Alienby, recalling his splendid leadership of the Australians in Palestine and paying a tribute to him as a great soldier.
