SENTENCE OF DEATH.
COURT DISMISSES APPEAL. COMPLICITY IN GARAGE MURDER. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. SYDNEY, May 15. The Full Court of Criminal Appeal to-day unanimously dismissed the appeal of Aubrey Potter against the sentence of death passed upon him on a charge of complicity in the garage murder at Darlinghurst. On March 30, James Massey, aged 27, and Aubrey Potter, 21, were convicted of the murder of Mr Norman Stead in a garage at Darlinghurst on February 10 and sentenced to death. Massey, who shot deceased, said he only intended to frighten him, but in the struggle his revolver accidentally went off. Potter said he was not aware that the revolver was loaded.
