EFFECT OF SHORTER HOURS. COMMITTEE TO INVESTIGATE. (Special to Times.) MORRINSVILLE, Friday. Thie Morrinsville Borough Council met last evening, the Mayor, Mr W. TOsborne, presiding. In a discussion regarding the effect of the 40-hour week legislation oil the council’s employees, Mr B. Chapman moved that a special committee be set up, consisting of the chairman of the various standing committees and the Mayor, to go into the question. He reminded councillors that the 40-hour week might be brought in within a few weeks and it would be just as well to know where the council stood.
