ENGLAND TO HONG-KONG.
NEW AIR BERVIOC.
WEEKLY AIRMAIL. This month a directly weekly airmail service between England and Hong Kong was begun. Mail despatched from London every Monday morning is listed for delivery in Hong Kong ten days later. The return service leaves Hong Kong every Friday, reaching London in ten days. In future, therefore, the time -taken to send a letter to Hong Kong and receive a reply need not be longer than three weeks—a vast improvement over the best time possible by use of surface transport only. Letters may also be sent by this service to places in China on payment of a higher postage rate; such letters will receive the benefit of conveyance by any existing internal airmail services in China.
