Charlie Quaid, who has played for Canterbury, Wellington and Otago, is still going strongly among the for- j wards in Dunedin. Southern reports ; credit him with being outstanding in j recent games. Quaid has an unusual record, for he has been in two I shield-winning teams. In 1931 he j helped Canterbury take the trophy i from Wellington and last season he ■ was in the Otago side which captured j “the log of wood” from Canterbury. j
