Rainfall for 24 hours ended 9 o’clock this morning. .00in. Rainfall for previous 48 lours. .06in. Total rainfall for May to date, i.62in. Average rainfall for May, 4.63in. Rainfall for year to date, 26.03in. Average yearly rainfall. 16.321 n. SPECIAL FORECAST. (By Uovt. Meteorologist) The special forecast by (he Government Meteorologist covering the WaikatoThames Valley Is as follows: Forecast: Light to moderate and varying winds. Weather fair to line and mild, but with morning fogs or frosts In places. Seas slight. General Inference: The anti-cyclone mentioned yesterday now lies directly over New Zealand, and has Intensified. The depression over eastern Australia has lost energy, and made little progress eastward.
