VISIT TO ISLANDB. PARTY FROM MATAMATA. Under the leadership of Commissioner F. G. Southon. of Te Poi, nine boy scouts from troops in the Mataniuta district will leave on May 2G by the Niagara from Auckland to visit Fiji. They expect to return to New Zealand by the same vessel on July 6, spending nearly a month in the Islands. “The trip is essentially a good-will mission, “Mr ?outhon stated to-day. “No definite programme has boon adopted and the visit is primarily for the purpose of promoting international friendship, whicii is one of the essentials of the movement.“ On several occasions Fijian boy scouts have visited the Dominion aud Mr Southon’s plans received the warm approval of the Dominion headquarters oi the movement in Christchurch.
