THE WINTER SHOW.
WIDESPREAD INTEREST. FINE EXHIBITION PROMISED. Exhibits and other attractions on a scale not hitherto seen in Hamilton have been arranged for the forthcoming Waikato Winter Show, and there is every prospect of a new standard being established from the aspect of entertainment and general excellence. Interest in the show' extends beyond the boundaries of New Zealand, as is indicated by the fact that the Australian Commonwealth Government lias intimated its intention to make a display of Australian produce. This, in itself should be an interesting exhibit. One of the outstanding sections will be the photographic division, in which the entries so far received, 201, have set a new record. Last year the entries totalled 75, and as this year’s entries do not close until Monday there appears to be every chance of the 1935 figures being at least trebled. Another section which will occupy an important place in the schedule is that for roots and field produce, which is of special interest to tlie farming community. The interests of (lie womenfolk of town and country will be served by tlie home industries section and Women's Institutes courts, which embrace a wide field of domestic and homecraft activities. These will he outstanding sections this vear. Entries for all tlie competitive classes will close on Monday next. In Hie amusement section there will be more attractions titan ever.
