LICENSING OF INDUSTRY. FULL INQUIRIES ASSURED. (By Telegraph—Special to Times.) WELLINGTON. \Vednesday. . Considerable interest is being shown in the Government‘s propouni to license industries in New Zealand and some concern has been expressed at. the possibilities. A suggestion has beEn made in the case of the baking industry, for in—stance, that the Government may decide on an immediate system of licensing bakeries and eliminating the uneeonomc unit. inquiries made in omcial circles to-day indicate that the baking industry has no reason to fear that any drastic action will be taken before a full inquiry has been made and all relevant factors have been taken into consideration. In one respect, the stabilisation of the price of flour, the Government has already gone a long way but there are other tnctors to be taken into consideration and until these are decided the baking industry may rest, assured that no drastic action will be taken.
