INTERESTED IN TALKIES. WILL SHORTLY APPEAR IN ONE. LONDON, October 1. Dame Clara Butt, the world-famous contralto confesses that she is tremendously interested in the, talkies and she is shortly appearing in a singing one. The story has been specially written for her. “I have often gon'e to the cinema three times daily in Australia and America. Voice production is already sufficiently good for first-class singing in the talkies, which are my new ambition.”
