Mr Richard White, touring representative for J. C. Williamson,. Ltd., has arrived in Hamilton to make arrangements for the production of “ Hold Everything,” with Clem Dawe, next Friday.
Mr Harry Mhller, rate representative for J. C. Williamson, Ltd., in New Zealand, has been appointed representative in Victoria for the Hugh D. McIntosh interests. Mr Mclntosh has lately revived vaudeville in Melbourne and Sydney with success. Cabled advice states that Sir Arthur Lawley, of London, has resigned his seat on the board of directors of Dalgety and Company; l.td. He has been associated with the firm for- many years and has been compelled to relinquish office owing to failing health. The retiring Governor-General of Australia, Lord Stonehaven, was a passenger for Wellington'yesterday by the Maunganui en route to England. There were animated scenes at the wharf and an aerial escort of five Air Force machines followed the vessel down the harbour. .Hamilton Hotel guests include Messrs J. Sutherland - (Dunedin), P. G. Ramsay (Masterton), R. 0. Bansfleld (Waipukurau), A. W. Parsons (Hawke’s Bay), A. Alexander, F. 0. Pollard (New Plymouth), H. Laird, G. A. Jones (Auckland), G. W. Berry (Putaruru) and E. M. Poole (Wellington).
