WOMEN’S INSTITUTE.

MEETING AT TE HOE. Mrs Cuff presided over a good attendance at the monthly meeting of the Te Hoe Women’s Institute, which was held in the Public Library. Two new members were enrolled and welcomed. The routine business was quickly disposed of, and donations were received and forwarded to various charitable institutions. A report on the first annual conference, held in Hamilton recently, was given by the secretary. A very interesting lecture on "Planning a House” was read by Mrs C. A. L. Thompson. Mrs Reid was elected to represent the Institute at the meetings of the group system. Afternoon tea brought a very enjoyable meeting to a close.
