KIHIKIHI BAZAAR.
AWARDS MADE. The annual bazaar of the Kihikihi Presbyterian Church was well attended and keen interest was shown in the exhibits, particularly those in the cookery section. Tlxe various stalls with saleable articles did good bus'ness, and the funds of the Church will, as a result of the bazaar, beneiit very materially. Quite a lot of competitions were conducted,' and they created a great 'deal of interest. The winners in the various classes were: Cookery competitions: Frull cake, Mrs Bryant; fancy sponge, Mrs Dyer; pbin sponge, Miss Lawry; biscuits, \lrs Eyre; scones Mrs Lavra ; pike.’tip, Mrs Smith. Mrs Eyre vwn the points prize. In the children's classes Winnie Richardson gained first prize for scones, and Jessie Shaw exhibited the best pikelets. „ Floral competitions: Vase of flowers, Mary Eyre; posy, Jean Sutherland. Guessing competitions: Cake, Jean Sutherland; trousseau, Mr N. Rossiter; cushion, Mrs Penny; pillow-shams, Jean Sutherland; lollies, Mrs A. S. Wyllie; doll, Mrs J. Peake; men’s trousseau, Mrs Davies; handbag, Mr Bathurst; chocolates, Miss Robertson; tray cloth, Mrs Bullen. *
