PEDIGREE JERSEY BULLS.
PRICES AT TE AWAMUTU. TE AWAMUTU, Wednesday. The Te Awamutu Jersey Club’s annual sale of pedigree bulls attracted a large attendance yesterday. Three auctioneering firms operated. Bidding was at times animated. Special interest centred in the judging of the entries before the sale. Following were the awards: —Yearlings: G. S. Clarke's Beauvelande Denis, 1; F. J. Ryburn’s The Oaks Fancy Box, 2; Hamilton Allen’s Braon Winsome of Woodcrest, 3. Two-year-old and over: A. H. Storey’s Premier Pretty Boy, 1; Chajja Sing’s Mona Master Lady, 2; W. C. Germann's Waiora Fancy’s Master, 3. The top price at auction was obtained for J. G. Holmes 11. 0. Knight Gander, which was bought by J. A. Jamieson, Korakonui, for 35 guineas. The same price was obtained for Mr Clarke’s Beauvelande penis, which was purchased by Mr F. Bird, Pirongia. Ten others made 20 guineas or over.
