WRESTLING ASSOCIATION.
BRANCH AT WELLINGTON. WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Following a public meeting at Wellington on Friday for the purpose of forming a Wellington branch of the New Zealand Wrestling Association, a provisional committee was appointed. This committee met this evening to consider rules for the new organisation and to appoint an executive. The following officers were elected: President, Mr M. S. Carr; vice-presi-dent, Colonel G. Mitchell; chairman of committee, Mr G. W. Slade; hon. secretary, Mr W. A. Thomson; hon. surgeon, Dr. Hugh Steele; hon. solicitor, Mr J. J. McGrath; executive, Messrs A. L. Johnson, J. McDonald, J. W. Murphy, G. W. Slade, T. Coltman, 'L. Salek, P. Wood, C. G. Porter and Dr. Steele. ■ * It was decided to proceed at once to incorporate the association under the Incorporated Societies Act.
