IMPREGNABLE STRONGROOM.

Any burglar rash enough to attempt to force the strongroom of the Commonwealth Bank’s new premises in London will soon abandon the job, for the room, which is 25 feet square and 9 feet high, is eteel lined, and surrounded on all sides by 21 inches of concrete, reinforced by twisted steel, called tangbar. ‘ It will have two steel doors 18 inches thick, weighing 12 tons, made specially to resist oxyaceteline blowpipes, and nitroglycerine. These doors are now Being constructed at Chubb and Sons’ works at Wolverhampton, where a nnumber of bankers and business men witnessed the casting of doors and other processes.
