RAGLAN TOWN BOARD.
DAMAGE TO PROPERTY. REPAIRS TO THE WHARF. At a meeting of the recently-elected Raglan Town Board Mr. J M. Thompson was elected chairman, with Mr. A. L. Pyler as vice-chairman. A sore point amongst the members seems to be that on Sundays some 200 cars pass through Raglan to the ocean beach, from which Raglan gets no benefit whatever. It was decided to offer £5 reward for the apprehension of the perpertrator of the wanton damage done to the board’s property on the Kopua sands The Raglan Harbour Board offered £100 for repairs to the stone wharf, provided the Town Board contributed a similar amount, which, unfortunately the board could not see its way to do. Repairs will have to he done soon, otherwise the Raglanites will have to charter a boat to get to the wharf.
