LINDRUM v. NEWMAN.
DUKE OF GLOUCESTER PRESENT. THE LATEST SCORES. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. (Received October 2, 1.5 p.m.) LONDON, October 1. The Duke of Gloucester visited Thurston’s, and was introduced to Lindrum and Newman. He saw the Australian dominating play, for during three visits to the table he scored 1078 kgainst his opponents 147, including brilliant sequences of 122 and 114 close cannons. The Duke was keenly interested, and frequently led the applause. He shook hands with the players before his departure. The latest scores are:—Newman, 10,093, including a break of 137; Lindrum, 6722, including breaks of 317 (full), 608, 654, 418 and 293. The snooker scores are Newman, 556; Lindrum, 315.
DAVIS v. McCONACHY. Davis made 11,161, including breaks of 335, 291 and 208. MoConachy made 10,805, including breaks of 374 and 211. At snooker MoConachy made 337 and Davis 321.
