BRITISH MOTOR LAWS. REGULATIONS TO BE TIGHTENED. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright, (Received October 2, 9.50 a.m.') LONDON, Ootober 1. The Ministry of Transport’s offlolal review of the new motor regulations indicates that people of extremely defective sight and who are subject to disabling fits, will not be allowed licenses, and the onus of stating their disabilities rests with the drivers. Every motorist must be insured by a third party risk and will be required to produoe the polioy when getting a license or on demand by the police. A scientific test will be given to those whose sight is doubtful, and ability to read a number plate at thirty-five yards distance will be necessary. Unsplinterable glass will be compulsory In new publio or private cars. Disabled drivers will be permitted to undergo a driving test to ascertain their competency on payment of a small fee. j
