Owing to a broken collarbone, the Irish forward, Crowe, has withdrawn from the Rugby touring team. H. M. Bowcott, of Wales, will replace him. BRITISH TEAM’S TOUR THE ADMISSION CHARGES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The admission charges to matches to be played during the tour of the British- Rugby team were announced at a meeting of the management committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union this evening. The chairman, Mr S. S. Dean, said that as there seemed to be some doubt as to the charges which had been laid down for admission, it would be wise to make these clear. The charges in all instances include admission to the ground. For ordinary matches, the charges are:— Ground, 2s; schoolchildren, Is; special enclosures, 3s plus tax; temporary stands or seats in grandstand enclosures, 5s plus tax; granstand, 7s 6d, plus tax. * For test matches the charges are: — Ground, 3s, including tax; special enclosures, ss, plus tax; temporary stands or seats in granstand enclosures, 7s Gd, plus lax;, grandstand, 10s, plus tax; special grandstand reserves £l, including tax. The North Otago Union wrote accepting the match against the British team at Oamaru on June 18. The New Zealand University Rugby Football Council wrote asking that a match against a team representing the New Zealand Universities be included in the itinerary. It was decided to reply that the programme had been finalised. BROADCASTING OF MATCHES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The Management Committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union this evening decided that if the Radio Broadcasting Company of New Zealand would make a donation to provide radio sets for the use of patients in hospitals and charitable institutions, the union would give the company permission to broadcast reports of the matches played by the British team in the Dominion. THAMES VALLEY RUGBY. A TOURING TEAM. The Thames Valley Rugby Union has decided to send a team on tour during the approaching season. It is suggested that matches be played against King Country, Taranaki,, and Manawhenua at Palmerston North, and Waikato at Hamilton, the latter match to he played prior to the selectors choosing the combined King Country-Waikato-Thames Valley team to play the British ■ visitors.
