OBITUARY.
MR F. W. BROUGHTON. (By T eleg-raph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. A wireless message from the Orient liner Oxford, received to-day in Christchurch, announces the death of Mr F. W. Broughton, aged 60, a former district land registrar in Canterbury. He was proceeding on a holiday trip lo England.
MR D. K. A. LESLIE. AUCKLAND, Wednesday. The death has occurred of Mr David Kirkwood Anderson Leslie, of Epsom, at the age of G 1 years. Born in liawera, .Mr Leslie went into the hotel business, taking over the license of the Shamrock Hotel in liawera. He later acquired the To Awamulu and Waitara Hotels, both of which lie held at the time of his death. Mr Leslie was keenly interested in sport, and was one of the founders of the Otahuhu Trotting Club, holding office in the club for many years as a steward. He was also a member of the Auckland Trotting Club, and raced several horses with considerable success. He was a founder of the Auckland and Onehunga Orphans’ Clubs. He is survived by his wife and a family of two sons and one daughter.
