Extra heavy prime steers ranged from £ls to £ls 15s; heavy, £l4 to £l4 17s 6d; lighter, £l2 10s to £l3 15s; light, £ll to £l2 ss; small and unfinished, £9 to £lO 15s; extra heavy prime young cows and heifers, £lO to £lO 15s; heavy, £8 5s to £9 15s; lighter, £7 to £8 2s 6d; light, £6 to £6 7s 6d; others, £4 10s to £5 15s. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd-, report : At. our weekly Westfield fat stock sale, held to-day, we penned ox beef in numbers well up to usual, with the quality first-class, selling under steady competition from all operators. Last week’s values were maintained. Cow' and heifer beef also came forward in usual numbers, for which competition was inclined to be easier, but taken generally the previous week’s values again ruled.
