At the end of the first two rounds in the south eastern open golf championship at Augusta, Georgia, Bobby Jones led with a score of 144. Farrell tied for second place with Kerrigan, with a score of 14., and Horton Smith was third with 148. Jones experienced considerable difficulty in holding liis lead at times, but lie refused to give up. while the others dropped hack. Smith improved after a poor start. lie played round with Jones.
