OUTBREAK AT BRISBANE. DAMAGE ESTIMATED AT £20,000. BRISBANE, March 29. Damage estimated at £20,000 resulted from a fire which destroyed Coleman’s furniture factory and' a large residence adjoining, in the west end of the city. BOROUGH DESTRUCTOR. PALMERSTON N„ Saturday. An outbreak of fire occurred at the borough, destructor building last evening. Pumping from a large pond nearby, the brigade effected ,a good save, confining the damage to the roof and rear portionCOTTAGE DESTROYED. GISBORNE, Saturday. Fire destroyed an unoccupied cottage owned by Mrs M. Mahon at Mangapapa. The insurance on the house was £7OO and contents £3OO.
