OBSTETRICAL APPEAL
STATEMENT BY DR. GORDON. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday. Dr. Doris Gordon, secretary, stated to-day that the obstetrical appeal campaign all over New Zealand could not he closed for several weeks. The Auckland executive did not anticipate being ready with its provincial assessment until well on in April, and utago was only now opening up. The committees in outlying centres in the Wellington and Canterbury districts, however, were more advanced, and the committees there may toe released toy April 7 or 10. The executive officers •of the coramitlec, however, must he asked to retain their offices till the end of April, as in all directions word was being received of a few donations to come in later in April. The bank account of the local funds would he kept open till the end of April. Early in May all moneys would he sent to the treasurer of the Obstetrical Society for transmission to the medical school authorities.
