PRESENTATIONS.

ST. PETER’S CHOIRMASTER. MR PAGE FAREWELLED. A gathering of members of St. Peter’s Cathedral Choir and Chapter and friends met last night to bid farewell to Mr J. E. Page, who for some years lias been choirmaster of St. Peter's, and also a keen member of the Chapter. Dean Barnett, in expressing good wishes for Mr Page’s future, presented him with a small token of the esteem in which he was held by the Chapter members. Mr S. B. Sims made a presentation on behalf of the choir, and remarked on the good work Mr Page had done for this body. The evening was brought to a close with supper and the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.” Musical items were rendered by Mr G. A- Wheeler. FAREWELL AT TE AROHA. SERVICES TO SPORTS CLUBS. At the annual meeting of the Piako Rugby Union, the president, Dr. W. It. Lawrence, spoke eulogistiealiy of the valued services rendered by Mr A. R. Merrington, who is leaving Tc Aroha for Wanganui. The union and tennis club iiad decided that they could not allow Mr Merrington to leave the district without giving him a small token of their esteem and appreciation, lie had pleasure in presenting Mr Merrington with a case of pipes. Mr L. Maekie, of the tennis club spoke highly of Mr Mcrringlon’s assistance.
