FAREWELL PARTIES.
AT WATTLE TEA-ROOMS. Mrs F. Beehan was hostess at a very joily tea party at the “Wattle" yesterday morning for Mrs W. Jenkins, who loaves early next week for Auckland, where she will make her home. Airs Jenkins was wearing a suit of resida green with hat lo tone, Airs Beeban wearing a grey ensemble in satin beautc trimmed in fur, with a red fell hat. Those present were: Atesdames W. Jenkins, F. Gordon, Allan Bremner, P. G. Bussell, Boy Kemp, It. Worley, ,1. AlcN'ieol, Lance Tompkins, E. G. Day, Wynne Gray, G. S. Crimp, A. English, 11. Jones, and Miss Wynn Manning. ENJOYABLE AFTERNOON. Prior to her departure from HamiltomAirs J. Page was the guest of honour at an afternoon party given by Airs A. AL. Bisley at her residence, River Road. A pianoforte solo rendered by Mrs E. V. Slace and - the recitation of an original New Zealand poem by Airs A. Ramsay contributed greatly to the enjoyment of the afternoon. Two competitions caused much anxious thought and amusement, the prize-winners being Mesdames J. Mackay and A. Gifford. Airs Bisley received her guesls in’a frock of grey georgette embroidered in richclieu work, the guest of honour wearing a frock of floral crepe de chine and bat to match. The guests included: Alesdames A. Beale, Bouillon, 11. J. Ferguson, A. Gifford, J. Mackay (Newstead), Al. Maning, H. E. Porritt (Pukei’oi'o), A. Ramsay, E. V. Stace, P. R. Stewart, J. D. Smith, W. J. Stevens, A. 11. Tompkins, A. AV. Ward, A. L. Yule, and Afiss H. Afackay. TO MEMBERS OF PLUNKET COMMITTEE. The members of the Hamilton branch of the Plunket Society assembled at the Lyceum Club yesterday afternoon to bid farewell lo two members who are leaving Hamilton—Airs J. E. Page, who is to make her home in Christchurch, and Airs W. Jenkins, who leaves for Auckland. The lounge was tastefully decorated in shades of brown and gold. As Lie guests of honour entered the room each was presented with a bouquet by the president, Airs A. 11. Tompkins. Apologies were received from. Alesdames Holloway, Coles, Vere Chi-tty and Shepherd. After a delightful afternoon tea, Airs Tompkins expressed the appreciation of the committee for the efficient manner in which Airs Page had performed the duties of treasurer for the last four years. The members of the committee will miss Airs Page as friend, comrade and as an official who was always ready when needed. Airs Tompkins also expressed the appreciation of the enthusiastic services of Airs Jenkins on the committee. Airs Page and Airs Jenkins thanked everyone for the reception accorded them. Airs Page said that she had always done her best and was very grateful for the appreciation shown on behalf of the society. Mesdames Ramsay, Stace and Bisley also added their quota -of appreciation for the services of the two members. Alusicai honours accorded to the guests-of-honour brought to an end a most enjoyable afternoon.
