ENJOYABLE AFTERNOON.
WELCOME HOME AND FAREWELL PARTY. Mrs A. K. Alexander, late president of the Ladies’ Committee of the Waikato Winter Show, was hostess at a very jolly afternoon at her home in Oakley Avenue yesterday in honour of Mrs Hugh Douglas and Mrs H. C. Ross, who have returned to Hamilton from a holiday in England, and Mrs A. E. Manning, who leaves shortly on a holiday lo Europe. The guests of honour are ail members ol' the committee. A competition was won by Mrs A. W. Green and Mrs W. Wallace, and an amusing verse was recited 'by Mrs Green. A delicious tea was served and late afternoon brought an enjoyable party to an end. Mrs Alexander was wearing -a frock of black georgette and lace. Those present were: Mrs H. Douglas, Mrs 11. €. Ross, Mrs A. E. Manning, Mrs W. H. Paul, Mrs Wallace, Mrs J. R. Fow, Mrs F. A. Snell, Mrs A. W. Green, Mrs R. English.
