CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
LUNCHEON AT TE AROHA. The To Aroha Chamber of Commerce’s monthly luncheon was largely attended, the president, Mr C. Rayner, presiding. A brief address was given by Dr. N. 11. Dempster, president of the Te Aroha Aero Club, lie said he was fully convinced that aviation had come to stay, and considered that Te Aroha would make an excellent centre for the activities of the future. The time would come when practically every local body would assist in aviation matters. The first work of the new club would be that of tuition, and in this department Hamilton Airways Ltd., made an appreciated offer which would greatly facilitate the club's progress, it was prepared lo provide a plane and also give tuition on very satisfactory terms. The future of the club was promising and the-facilities offered by Hamilton Airways would greatly further its progress. The chairman said it was hoped that the Aero Club would bo an established flying institution this year and be one of the marks of progress in this the Jubilee Year of Te Aroha. A hearty vote of thanks lo Dr. Dempster for his address was carried by acclamation.
