HAWKE CUP GAME. RANGITIKEI COMPILE 177. MANAWATU AT THE WICKETS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., Thursday. In the Hawke Cup cricket match which was commenced here yesterterday between Manawatu (holders) and Rangitikei, the latter’s first innings closed for 177 runs. Manawatu had scored 77 for one wicket when stumps were drawn yesterday. When play was resumed to-day McVicar and Pacey soon reached the century.
